To Sir, I only found out about your passing a few weeks ago. Over the years that followed after you left Angmering, I thought about you often. You were the best teacher I ever had for the entirety of my education and you impacted my life more than any teacher ever has. You were the kindest, funniest and most passionate teacher a student could ask for. I only had you for one year as my teacher before you started your new job, and I remember going to see you one lunchtime before the end of the school year to thank you and wish you luck - I’m always glad I did that. I liked to think that you remembered me, mainly because of the profound impact you have had on my life and I often hoped that you knew that. I am so grateful that I had you as my teacher and for everything you taught me. I'm sorry and devastated that I didn't know about your passing sooner, I wish I had known so that I could have payed my respects, and to share with your lovely family how much of a difference you truly had on my life and my classmates. My life is all the better for having you as a part of it. More than anything Mr Simmonds, thank you. Thank you for everything. I'll never forget you.
